Our Purpose

A Canadian manufacturer with a customer-first mindset.

Ventex and Alumavent were founded on a simple idea, that great products only matter if they’re backed by great service. Today, we supply louvers, control dampers, fire dampers, penthouses, and specialty assemblies for projects across Canada and beyond, from major high-rise developments to schools, hospitals, data centres, and government facilities.

OUR FOCUS

What sets us apart

Trusted on Canada’s most complex commercial, institutional, and mission-critical building projects, from hospitals and schools to mixed-use towers and data centres.

Fast, reliable lead times

We manufacture locally and keep our processes lean, allowing us to turn around quotes, drawings, and production faster than larger competitors.

Hands-on customer service

Every request gets personal attention. If something needs clarification, we pick up the phone, solve it quickly, and follow up with everything in writing.

Certified performance

The majority of our louvers and control dampers are AMCA-certified. Fire and smoke products are UL/ULC-listed for life-safety applications.

Custom solutions at scale

From unique sizes to complex assemblies, we routinely manufacture custom product configurations with full shop drawings and documentation.

1984

Beginnings in a Weston Garage

Bill Haley founded Easy-Lift Ventilation in Weston, Ontario, hand-crafting the first backdraft damper prototypes from balsa wood in his garage, testing each blade by feel to find the perfect opening pressure.

1990

Expanding Into Louvers

Recognizing the need to grow beyond a single product, Bill expanded the offering to include extruded aluminum louvers, setting the foundation for what Ventex would become.

1992

A New Name for a New Direction

As the product line outgrew its original identity, the company was reincorporated as Ventex Inc. The name, coined on a family road trip, captured the company's broader vision.

1993

First AMCA Certification

Ventex earned its first AMCA certification for louvers, establishing a commitment to independently verified performance standards that continues today.

2002

Acquiring Alumavent

Ventex acquired Alumavent, a fellow louver manufacturer based in St. Catharines, and relocated them to Bolton, Ontario. The move brought two complementary businesses under one roof.

2015

Investing in Precision

The introduction of in-house laser cutting equipment transformed the manufacturing process, enabling tighter tolerances, custom part development, and the ability to take on more complex projects.

2016

Moving Home to Alliston

Ventex & Alumavent moved into their current Alliston facility, doubling their square footage and giving the company the space to continue growing for the next decade and beyond.

2026+

Built for What's Next

From a garage in Weston to projects across North America and international partnerships in the UK, Ventex Inc. & Alumavent Inc. continues to grow, taking on larger and more complex projects while staying true to the values that started it all.
