52AVS Thinline Type A Static Fire Damper
The Alumavent 52AVS is a Thinline 1-1/2 hour label static fire damper, UL/ULC approved for use in HVAC systems where fans automatically shut down in the event of a fire alarm. The reduced 2-1/8" depth makes it ideal for installation in narrow partitions or behind grilles where standard depth dampers cannot be accommodated. The Type A blade configuration locates the blades directly in the ductwork airflow path, and the interlocking curtain type blade design is suitable for use in fire separations with a fire resistance rating of 2 hours or less.

The 52AVS Thinline is designed for installation in fire-rated assemblies where partition depth is limited, such as narrow stud walls, masonry partitions, or installations behind architectural grilles. At 2-1/8" deep, it offers a significantly shallower profile than the standard 51-series dampers while maintaining the same 1-1/2 hour fire rating. The Type A configuration positions the blades directly in the ductwork airflow path, and the interlocking curtain blade closes under spring tension when the fusible link releases.
