Royalmount
A large-scale mixed-use development in Montréal, Royalmount integrates Ventex louver solutions to support ventilation and airflow management across an expansive retail and entertainment campus.
Overview
Royalmount is a privately funded mixed-use urban development conceived as a new midtown destination for Montreal. Phase 1 introduced a two-level retail and entertainment complex designed to accommodate high visitor volumes, large open gallerias, and a wide range of tenant programs, including retail, dining, and leisure uses.
The scale and diversity of the program introduced significant ventilation requirements, particularly related to high-volume air intake and exhaust serving large enclosed spaces and centralized mechanical systems. Ventex supplied louver solutions integrated throughout the development to support these airflow demands, serving mechanical zones distributed across the campus while maintaining consistency with the project’s architectural expression.

Working with our Partner
Ventex worked closely with the project team to support louver integration across a complex, phased construction environment with substantial airflow requirements. Coordination focused on accommodating large air volumes associated with expansive interior spaces, while aligning louver placement with façade systems and architectural massing across the site.
Collaboration focused on:
Coordinating louver solutions across a large, multi-building retail footprint
Supporting ventilation needs driven by diverse tenant programs and public spaces
Integrating louvers into architectural screening visible from plazas and promenades
Sequencing delivery to align base-building construction with tenant fit-outs
Ventex’s technical support and coordination helped ensure consistent airflow performance across a development of significant scale and complexity.

Results
Ventex louver solutions were successfully integrated throughout Royalmount to support reliable ventilation and airflow performance across one of Canada’s largest retail developments. The solutions contribute to a facility designed to manage high occupancy levels, evolving tenant needs, and long-term operational demands. With Phase 1 complete, Royalmount demonstrates how well-integrated ventilation components support performance and architectural intent at campus scale within a dense urban context.
