1200 Extruded Aluminum Backdraft Damper
The Ventex 1200/1205/1207 is an extruded aluminum backdraft damper available in three frame configurations: in-duct mount (1200), flange frame (1205), and front flange frame (1207). The all-aluminum construction eliminates common failure points found in previous designs, including pivot pins that wear or rust out and rivets that shake loose over time. The extruded blades are engineered to combine strength and durability with smooth operation through their aerodynamic profile. For motorized operation, see the Model 1300 series.

The 1200 series is designed for gravity backdraft applications where a reliable, low-maintenance aluminum damper is required. The integrated vinyl blade seals and aerodynamic extruded blade profile ensure consistent closure and minimal air leakage when the damper is at rest, making it well suited for exhaust systems in commercial and institutional buildings where backflow prevention is critical. For applications requiring motorized control, the Model 1300 series offers the same construction with actuator compatibility.
