1900 Insulated Extruded Aluminum Backdraft Damper
The Ventex 1900/1905/1907 is an extruded aluminum insulated backdraft damper available in three frame configurations: in-duct mount (1900), flange frame (1905), and front flange frame (1907). The all-aluminum construction eliminates common failure points found in previous designs, including pivot pins that wear or rust out and rivets that shake loose over time. Insulated blades and frame reduce thermal conductivity, and the damper is available with a factory installed actuator for motorized operation.

The 1900 series brings thermal insulation to the same proven extruded aluminum backdraft damper platform as the 1200 series. The 1/4" Styrofoam insulation mechanically fastened to the blades reduces thermal bridging, making the 1900 well suited for applications where the damper separates conditioned and unconditioned spaces, such as exterior wall penetrations in cold climates or refrigerated environments. For motorized control, a factory installed actuator is available without requiring a separate model series.
