51BVS-SS / 51BHS-SS Stainless Steel Type B Static Fire Damper

The Alumavent 51BVS-SS/51BHS-SS is a 1-1/2 hour label static fire damper constructed in Type 304 stainless steel, UL/ULC approved for use in HVAC systems where fans automatically shut down in the event of a fire alarm. The stainless steel construction provides excellent corrosion resistance for high humidity and corrosive atmosphere applications. The Type B blade configuration positions the blades above the direct airflow path, and the interlocking curtain type blade design is suitable for use in fire separations with a fire resistance rating of 2 hours or less.

Additional Notes

The 51BVS-SS/51BHS-SS is UL/ULC certified for use as a 1-1/2 hour static fire damper in HVAC systems.

The 51BVS-SS/51BHS-SS is the stainless steel variant of the Type B static fire damper, designed for installation in fire-rated assemblies where corrosion resistance is required, such as commercial kitchens, laboratories, coastal facilities, and other high humidity or chemically aggressive environments. The Type B configuration positions the blades above the direct airflow path, making it suitable for applications where the duct transitions into the fire separation at a different elevation. The interlocking curtain blade closes under spring tension when the fusible link releases, providing a reliable passive fire barrier at duct penetrations.
