The Alumavent 51COVS-SS/51COHS-SS is a 1-1/2 hour label static fire damper constructed in Type 304 stainless steel, UL/ULC approved for use in HVAC systems where fans automatically shut down in the event of a fire alarm. The stainless steel construction provides excellent corrosion resistance for high humidity and corrosive atmosphere applications. The Type CO blade configuration is specifically designed for oval ductwork, with blades positioned outside of the duct airflow path, and is suitable for use in fire separations with a fire resistance rating of 2 hours or less.

The 51COVS-SS/51COHS-SS is the stainless steel variant of the Type CO static fire damper, designed for installation in fire-rated assemblies using oval ductwork where corrosion resistance is required, such as commercial kitchens, laboratories, coastal facilities, and other high humidity or chemically aggressive environments. The Type CO configuration accommodates oval duct geometry while keeping the blades outside of the airflow path during normal operation. The interlocking curtain blade closes under spring tension when the fusible link releases, providing a compliant passive fire barrier at oval duct penetrations.
