52CRVS Thinline Type CR Static Fire Damper (Round)
The Alumavent 52CRVS is a Thinline 1-1/2 hour label static fire damper, UL/ULC approved for use in HVAC systems where fans automatically shut down in the event of a fire alarm. The reduced 2-1/8" depth makes it ideal for installation in narrow partitions where standard depth dampers cannot be accommodated. The Type CR blade configuration is specifically designed for round ductwork, with blades positioned outside of the duct airflow path, and the interlocking curtain type blade design is suitable for use in fire separations with a fire resistance rating of 2 hours or less.

The 52CRVS is UL/ULC certified for use as a 1-1/2 hour static fire damper in HVAC systems.
The 52CRVS Thinline is designed for installation in fire-rated assemblies using round ductwork where partition depth is limited, such as narrow stud walls and masonry partitions. At 2-1/8" deep, it offers a significantly shallower profile than the standard 51-series dampers while maintaining the same 1-1/2 hour fire rating. The Type CR configuration accommodates round duct geometry while keeping the blades outside of the airflow path during normal operation. The interlocking curtain blade closes under spring tension when the fusible link releases.
