Overview

Located just west of Yonge Street in North York, The Diamond Condominiums is a 30-storey residential tower designed to deliver high-end urban living within a dense, transit-oriented neighbourhood. The building includes 386 residential units above a three-level podium containing retail space, resident amenities, and a formal lobby and drop-off sequence.

Ventex supplied louver solutions integrated into the building envelope to support air intake and exhaust requirements associated with residential suites, shared amenity spaces, and rooftop mechanical areas. Given the project’s architectural emphasis on clean lines and subtle detailing, louvers were coordinated to remain visually restrained while accommodating the building’s mechanical needs within a relatively tight façade and roof profile.

Working with our Partner

Ventex worked with the project team to coordinate louver integration within a compact site and a façade-driven architectural design. Particular attention was given to locations where ventilation components intersected with visible building surfaces, including podium elevations and rooftop mechanical screening.

Collaboration focused on:

  • Integrating louvers into a residential façade with minimal visual impact

  • Coordinating shop drawings to align louver placement with glazing, precast, and architectural fins

  • Supporting installation sequencing within a constrained urban site with limited staging area

  • Addressing airflow requirements for residential and shared amenity spaces without compromising design intent

Clear coordination and predictable manufacturing timelines helped support steady installation progress within a busy North York construction environment.

"Ventex was an excellent partner on this project. Their team collaborated closely with site staff and consultants to ensure the louvers integrated smoothly with the building, delivering detailed drawings, quality fabrication, and timely installation while proactively addressing challenges."
