51BVS / 51BHS Type B Static Fire Damper
The Alumavent 51BVS/51BHS is a 1-1/2 hour label static fire damper, UL/ULC approved for use in HVAC systems where fans automatically shut down in the event of a fire alarm. The Type B blade configuration positions the blades above the direct airflow path, and the interlocking curtain type blade design is suitable for use in fire separations with a fire resistance rating of 2 hours or less.

The 51BVS/51BHS is designed for installation in fire-rated wall and floor assemblies where the HVAC system fans shut down automatically on fire alarm activation. The Type B configuration locates the blades above the direct airflow path, making it suitable for applications where the duct transitions into the fire separation at a different elevation. The interlocking curtain blade closes under spring tension when the fusible link releases, providing a reliable passive fire barrier at duct penetrations.
