51CVS / 51CHS Type C Static Fire Damper (Sq./Rect.)
The Alumavent 51CVS/51CHS is a 1-1/2 hour label static fire damper, UL/ULC approved for use in HVAC systems where fans automatically shut down in the event of a fire alarm. The Type C blade configuration positions the blades outside of the duct airflow path, and the interlocking curtain type blade design is suitable for square and rectangular duct applications in fire separations with a fire resistance rating of 2 hours or less.

The 51CVS/51CHS is UL/ULC certified for use as a 1-1/2 hour static fire damper in HVAC systems.
The 51CVS/51CHS is designed for installation in fire-rated wall and floor assemblies where the HVAC system fans shut down automatically on fire alarm activation. The Type C configuration locates the blades entirely outside of the duct airflow path, minimizing airflow resistance during normal system operation. The interlocking curtain blade closes under spring tension when the fusible link releases, providing a reliable passive fire barrier at square and rectangular duct penetrations.
